New Build – Southampton
Energy Statements are often required to support a planning application for even the smallest of developments. On this project, we assisted the developer in obtaining planning permission for 2 modern bungalows on a small brownfield site in Southampton.
Southampton City Council requested an energy statement be produced to identify an energy strategy that would define the CO2 emissions reduction of 20%. Not satisfied with just adding Solar PV to gain the reduction, we advised the client to improve thermal bridging, improve the main element U-values and consider aiming for a low Air Pressure Test result.
