Working with OCEA Life, Commercial and Residential conversion specialists and Building IS Project Management experts, Energy Report Ltd provided our expert SAP knowledge for this central Southampton conversion and extension project.

The project consisted of the conversion and extension of an existing central Southampton office building into 41 apartments. SAP calculations were required on both the conversion and new-build flats. The conversion flats were required to show Part L compliance through the SAP calculation methodology. Newly built flats were required to demonstrate a 19% reduction in CO2 emissions over and above Part L as part of the planning consent. Evidence of such had to be demonstrated in the as-built SAP calculations report.

Air leakage testing was also carried out on all new build top floor flats, results of which were fed back into the SAP calculations report to demonstrate compliance and ensure CO2 emission reductions planning requirements were met.
