Cray-Wanderers-FC

In conjunction with JBA Consulting, Energy Report were pleased to be involved with planning application Energy statement for this unusual mixed use development, consisting of 2 block of residential apartments each with 6 apartments as well as the stadium conference, training and changing facilities adjacent to the new pitch. The development at Flamingo Park, Chislehurst, Borough of Bromley was proposed to be the new Home of Cray Wanderers FC, who currently have no permanent home. Having exhausted all other potential site for the new stadium, the site at Flamingo Park was selected.

Energy Report consulted and supplied an Energy Statement report (to the constraints of the London Plan) for the planning application to identify that the proposed development of both the Conference, Training & Changing facility plus the residential apartments were capable of reducing CO2 emissions by at least 35% over the 2013 Part L1A and L2A levels.

investigations were carried out to appraise the feasibility of connecting the development to the London Heat Network and the suitability of the use of Combined Heat and Power, neither was possible or suitable.

The development achieved the CO2 reductions required by use improvements to the thermal envelopes of all the building over and above those specified by the Architects, specified high levels of air tightness and thermal bridging. Further to this Energy Report advised on the use of renewables to further reduce the CO2 emissions.
