Air Tightness Testing
You will need an Air Tightness Test carried out to identify air leakage within a building; air leakage equates to heat loss and higher energy usage. It is important to ensure that air leakage is kept to a minimum as a leaky house will be more difficult and costly to heat. ATT is a requirement of Part L of Building Regulations for England and Wales and without it you are unable to complete your SAP calculations.
ATT is designed to improve the fabric energy efficiency of buildings by encouraging developers to consider the integrity of the build and the materials used to achieve good scores.
